Twisha Case Latest News Coverage

Report by Y-Trendz

The death case of model and former beauty pageant participant Twisha Sharma has taken a dramatic turn, with fresh legal battles, explosive audio recordings, and mounting public pressure intensifying the investigation. The case, which has already sparked nationwide debate on alleged dowry harassment and institutional influence, continues to dominate headlines across India.

In the latest development, Twisha Sharma’s husband Samarth Singh, who remains absconding, has approached the Madhya Pradesh High Court seeking anticipatory bail. At the same time, Twisha’s family is preparing legal action to cancel the anticipatory bail granted to her mother-in-law, retired judge Giribala Singh. The family alleges that evidence may have been tampered with and claims there was an attempt to influence the investigation.

The case gained further attention after an alleged audio conversation surfaced publicly. In the recording, Twisha’s brother is heard confronting her mother-in-law over alleged abusive remarks and inappropriate comments directed at Twisha. The audio clip has triggered outrage on social media and added fuel to allegations of mental harassment inside the household.

Meanwhile, investigators are now focusing heavily on electronic evidence. Both the complainant’s family and the accused side have approached the court seeking preservation and forensic examination of digital material, including chats, phone records, CCTV footage, and audio clips. Authorities believe this evidence may become crucial in determining the exact sequence of events before Twisha’s death.

The National Commission for Women has also stepped into the matter and sought a detailed report from the Madhya Pradesh government. The commission has reportedly demanded updates regarding the accused husband and the overall progress of the probe, indicating the growing seriousness of the case at the national level.

Another major controversy emerged after a Bhopal court rejected the family’s plea for a second post-mortem examination at AIIMS Delhi. Twisha’s family had argued that several questions remained unanswered in the original post-mortem findings. The rejection has now pushed the family to consider further legal remedies in higher courts.

Investigators are also examining CCTV footage reportedly showing Twisha walking toward the terrace shortly before her death. Later footage allegedly shows attempts at CPR by family members and others present at the residence. These visuals, along with call records and witness statements, are now under detailed scrutiny.

The case has evolved beyond a criminal investigation into a larger public debate over dowry harassment, domestic abuse, social pressure, and the influence of powerful individuals within legal institutions. Several media discussions and public forums are now questioning whether the investigation will remain fully impartial amid the high-profile nature of those involved.
