in Major Retaliatory Strike
Y-Trendz | International Report
A sharp escalation in the Middle East conflict unfolded on Wednesday as Iran launched missile and drone attacks targeting U.S. military facilities in Jordan and Kuwait, following recent American
airstrikes on Iranian military sites. According to multiple international reports, Iranian forces claimed to have struck several military targets, including facilities linked to U.S. operations in the region.
Jordanian authorities reported that their air-defense systems intercepted multiple incoming missiles aimed at the Al-Azraq military base, while Kuwaiti defenses engaged hostile aerial targets approaching key military installations. U.S. officials stated that most missiles and drones were intercepted, with no immediate reports of casualties.
The attacks came after U.S. President Donald Trump authorized strikes on Iranian radar and air-defense facilities following the downing of a U.S. Apache helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz. Iran described its latest action as a direct response to what it called American aggression.
The renewed confrontation has raised fears of a broader regional conflict, pushing oil prices higher and increasing concerns over the security of vital energy shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz. Diplomatic efforts to restore a fragile ceasefire now face significant uncertainty.
