Nida Khan Named in Chargesheet

Probe Expands as SIT Continues Investigation

Y-TRENDZ | CRIME & INVESTIGATION DESK

Mumbai/Nashik, June 10: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged harassment and religious coercion case linked to a TCS facility in Nashik has named Nida Khan and several other accused in its chargesheet filed before a court. According to reports, the chargesheet runs into more than 1,500 pages and includes witness statements, digital evidence, financial records, and other investigative material.

Investigators have alleged that the accused were involved in a wider criminal conspiracy. The charges invoked include provisions related to sexual harassment, criminal conspiracy, cheating, outraging religious sentiments, and sections of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Nida Khan, who was arrested in May after being on the run for several weeks, is among the principal accused named in the case. Police have stated that further investigation remains ongoing and that supplementary chargesheets may be filed if additional evidence emerges.

Some media reports have claimed that Nida Khan made certain admissions during questioning. However, any alleged confession or statement made during an investigation remains subject to judicial scrutiny and evidentiary rules, and the court will ultimately determine its legal value. At present, the charges remain allegations that have not been proven in court.

The case has generated significant political and public attention, with multiple FIRs registered and several accused arrested. Authorities say the investigation is continuing and further developments are expected as court proceedings move forward.

Y-Trendz View: The filing of a detailed chargesheet marks a major milestone in the investigation, but the judicial process is still underway. The allegations and evidence presented by investigators will now be tested in court before any conclusions can be drawn.
