BJP Condemns Killing of Civilians

in PoK by Pakistan Army
Report by Y-Trendz

New Delhi, June 13: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly condemned the reported killing of civilians in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), alleging that the Pakistan Army's actions have once again exposed the human rights situation in the region.

In a statement issued on Saturday, BJP leaders expressed concern over reports that civilians were killed during military operations and clashes in parts of PoK. The party described the incident as a "grave violation of human rights" and called for accountability from those responsible.

BJP spokespersons said that innocent civilians should never become victims of military action and urged the international community to take note of the situation. The party also alleged that the people of PoK have long suffered from political suppression, restrictions on freedom, and inadequate democratic representation.

"The loss of innocent lives is deeply tragic and unacceptable. The world must pay attention to the plight of civilians living in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir," a BJP leader said while reacting to the reports.

The condemnation comes amid growing reports of unrest and protests in parts of PoK, where local residents have reportedly voiced concerns over economic hardships, governance issues, and security-related actions.

Political observers noted that the incident is likely to further intensify discussions surrounding the situation in PoK and human rights conditions in the region. Meanwhile, demands for an impartial investigation into the deaths have also been raised by various groups.

Pakistan authorities have not yet issued a detailed response regarding the allegations. Independent verification of the reported casualties remains limited due to restricted access to the affected areas.

Further details are awaited as more information emerges from the region.
