means you are requesting the closure of both:
- Trading Account – used for buying and selling shares, F&O, commodities, and currencies.
- DP (Depository Participant) / Demat Account – used for holding your shares and securities electronically.
For your Choice FinX account, if you want to permanently exit Choice India, this is usually the option you should select.
Before choosing "Normal Account Closure (Trading + DP)"
Make sure:
- All shares have been sold or transferred out.
- Demat holdings are zero.
- Trading account balance is zero.
- No open positions exist in Equity, F&O, Commodity, or Currency segments.
- No pending corporate actions or pledges remain.
Other Closure Types You Might See
- Trading Account Closure Only → Demat account remains active.
- DP Account Closure Only → Trading account remains active.
- Transfer & Closure → Holdings are transferred to another Demat account and then the account is closed.
- Normal Closure → Account is closed after holdings become zero.
If your goal is to completely leave Choice FinX and avoid future AMC or maintenance charges, "Normal Account Closure (Trading + DP)" is generally the correct option.
Before submitting, verify that your Demat account has zero holdings. If you're unsure, tell me:
- Do you still own any shares in the account?
- Is the closure form asking for a Target DP ID/Client ID anywhere?
That will indicate whether Choice expects a transfer before closure.
